About Us
Welcome to Marshallrose ltd
I’m Tom Stead. I was born in a small town just outside Cambridgeshire, where I developed a strong passion for sport from an early age. After trying a wide range of disciplines, I discovered a particular talent for running and triathlon, which went on to shape much of my life.
Through sport, I’ve had the opportunity to travel internationally and compete at various levels. Most importantly, it’s how I met my wife, who is now the mother of our two children. We were married in 2024, and I still enjoy racing my bike at weekends whenever I can.
I grew up immersed in craftsmanship, with my father working as a self-employed antique restorer and upholsterer. From an early age, I spent countless hours in his workshop, learning the fundamentals of woodworking and developing a strong work ethic… Often trading time after school for hands-on experience rather than anything else.
Bespoke joinery has always come naturally to me, and over the years I’ve refined that ability into a high level of precision and finish. Although I didn’t move straight into the trade professionally, my experience across other trades; including plumbing and electrical work. This has significantly broadened my skill set. This cross-trade knowledge allows me to approach projects with a more complete understanding, ensuring both functionality and finish are delivered to a high standard.
This is particularly evident in my joinery work on kitchens and media walls, where attention to detail, problem-solving, and seamless integration of services are essential.
